Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HandymanMike Awesome giant family/camping grill This thing is a beast. Note. Do not get this if you simply want to grill up some hotdogs, steaks or something for just you, or you and only one other. This grill is made for multiple people, like a family. Team, etc. This thing is huge, yet it folds up. When folded it is maybe 4'x1'x18" When unfolded it stands at normal height, but unfolds to a good 7 or 8' wide. think of it this way. Those two side shelves fold onto the grill itself, covering it completely. When unfolded it virtually doubles the width. The grill space is pretty much 4'x18". Plenty enough for 5 racks of standard ribs, 8+ steaks, several dozen chicken wings, whatever. Note on transportation/folding. Obviously being a grill it will have a lot of ash, grease, etc inside of it after use. To fold it up, the legs swing up and in, the cross plates detach, etc. You could fold this up yourself, but to do so you would need to tilt it, which would prompt spilling of said grease and ashes. Would be much easier (and cleaner) to pack/unpack in pairs. Note on the propane tank. Being that this grill is meant to fold up and transport, their isn't a propane tank mount/holder. The tank is meant to simply sit on the ground under it, or beside it. Obviously being a big grill this prompts the need for either a bigger than average propane tank, or have spares at the ready. Last but not least, the grill itself. It does a great job at cooking things evenly, spreads the heat evenly, all that good stuff. However note, it does not have a top/lid. It does for folding (the side shelves fold up to cover it), but nothing to get that "baking" effect. It does come with high sides to guard from wind, but be aware if cooking in the rain, the rain will be right on it. If cooking in a dust bowl, dusty food. Etc. This grill does still get good and hot (maybe 500+?), but it'll take a lotta fuel to do so. The grill (and grill plates) is fairly standard when it comes to wear and tear, cleaning, etc. As always it's easiest to get the grill nice and hot, and when everything is hot, it scrubs off easier. For the price, strongly recommend this. Especially if using it for a sports team, company bbq, family, etc. August 18, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by mf1967 broke and haven't even cooked on it yet After assembly i was impressed with what i thought was a nice sturdy grill. First time i fired it up to break it in, one of the burners isn't working and an igniter is loose. Burner didn't have any holes punched in it. the other burners worked well and it gave off some nice heat, but i don't know how well it will cook yet. After letting it burn off for 10 min i go to put it away. As i am lifting on one end to get it over the doorway threshold the handle tears off in my hand. i go to lift the other end to get inside and i can feel this handle starting to go also. For unit described as collapsible and movable, i don't think this would last many trips past the first on. May 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by aaroninsurprise Large Cooking Area Reasonably Priced We often entertain and needed a larger grill for that purpose. This grill has met that requirement. What we like about it is that it can be moved anywhere and that collapses for storage when not in use. The wheels make it very easy to maneuver anywhere in my yard or neighborhood. We have frequent block parties and this is now the grill of choice as we can cook large quantity of food all at once. It produces nice even heat and is very easy to ignite. The unit arrived very fast after ordering and was fairly easy to assemble. If you need more cooking space than a traditional grill, I highly recommend this unit. It won't disappoint. June 22, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Tom Poor design and construction First time I tried to load on trailer one handle broke off. The second time the other handle broke off. Had to make and attach my own handles. The regulator will stop working if all 6 burners are on high. it now has ceased three times. October 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vero I'm Argentinean and I LOVE this grill! Assembly of the grill was a cinch. I love that it can be compacted for travel, that was a plus! Its sturdy, has a large cooking area, and even heat distribution. I have used it several times and I like that I can adjust all the burners at different heat levels to cook a plethora of meats and poultry at the same time. My only gripe is the wind! Not the grills fault, obviously I knew when I bought it that it does not have a hood... On windy days its hard to keep it lit, whatever. I am still very very very satisfied! Argentinean cooking with gas? Yes, unfortunately charcoal makes me sick. So the design of an open grill with gas excited me right away! I bought it as a mother day gift to myself! June 10, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ToddB Affordable no frills grill with LOTS of cooking area This is an affordable, no-frills gas grill designed for cooking simple foods for a lot of hungry mouths. You would NOT want this grill for home use. The grill works perfectly fine in the intended setting. It’s easy to break down, transport and set up and it starts right up. A standard 20 LB tank is easily attached to the end of the grill without crawling underneath. I received this grill for the purpose of reviewing it. I’ve had it for a couple of months now, and really wanted to give a fair review, but I didn’t think cooking a couple of burgers in a personal setting would be a fair test. I had to wait until such an opportunity arose. The corporate office building that my company is located in has two of these grills that they use for occasional cookouts out back. I “interviewed” the manager/head cook of the cafeteria to get his feedback on the grills and this review includes that feedback. Assembly --------------------------- Assembling the grill wasn’t too difficult, but I will say that the unit that I received had a few quality issues. Nothing serious, but there were bent tabs, damage that resulted in chipped paint, etc. I was able to simply bend the components back into shape with a screwdriver in a matter of seconds. Features --------------------------- I think the most important feature lacking on a grill like this is a cover. A set of foldout wings are used to shield the surface from wind, but you won’t be able to cook anything that requires a good heat buildup. The grill sits atop a sturdy aluminum frame and is easily detached for transport and storage. The frame includes locking wheels. I’m not a big fan of the AA battery powered starter, to be honest. In my opinion it’s probably the weakest link/most likely component to fail first. I just don’t think it’s sturdy enough. Plus, you have the hassle of needing a battery. Ideally they’d have used a piezoelectric starter that doesn’t need a battery. Grill in Action --------------------------- We fed about eighty people burgers and dogs with the grill and it worked great. It started right up and has tons of grill surface area. Frankly there isn’t much more to say because it simply worked as expected. The cook downstairs described being able to cook thin/medium thickness steaks without a problem, but he was quite sure that you would not be able to cook thick steaks on this grill because there’s no way to trap the heat in. Burgers, dogs, sausage, etc. can be cooked all day long on this grill, as that’s really what it’s designed for. He said he likes the grills just fine and has no complaints. Cleaning --------------------------- The cook also told me about a trick that I never would have thought of. You can take this grill to a self-serve car wash bay and clean it quickly and easily after an event. July 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sferguson326 What a beast!! I just received the grill and it was very easy to assemble. I tried it out with a few burgers for my family but haven't used it for a large group yet and it worked great. We are having neighborhood party in a few weeks and the guys are already fighting about who is going to get to use it. it looks like I'll be able to "take the night off" and enjoy the party! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kik1 An outstanding grill. The perfect grill for a big party. We bough this grill for our school events. We just had our annual school carnival. We fed well over 500 people in two hours period. We had plenty of food (hamburgers and Hot dogs) ready to eat for everyone. It is easy to assemble and easy to clean. Great prize, too.
